We’re looking for a Studio Coordinator to join the Generative ML Platform team in Santa Monica, CA!

  • Operate a wide range of studio equipment and assignments to support high-quality production workflows.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain cameras, recording systems, calibration tools, and lighting equipment to ensure optimal recording sessions.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and optimize equipment performance to minimize downtime.
  • Execute recording sessions according to established protocols, ensuring clear communication, accuracy in instruction delivery, and adherence to scripts and recording standards.
  • Prepare recorded materials for downstream processing, including cueing, executing video tasks, basic editing, archiving, and managing digital content using both software and hardware tools as needed.
  • Ensure the accuracy and reliability of all collected data.
  • Perform data quality activities such as QC checks, data evaluation, quality analysis, and implementing improvements to uphold studio data standards.
  • Maintain effective communication with team members and the Manager to support smooth studio operations.
  • Provide clear daily reports, session summaries, and status updates.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend improvements.
  • Respond promptly to questions and comments in work chats and provide timely updates.
  • Liaise with casting agencies and models; maintain professional, friendly communication to ensure a comfortable and productive recording environment.
  • Maintain up-to-date internal documentation on a daily basis, including operational notes, workflow updates, and task details.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation related to studio processes, equipment usage, and workflow guidelines.
  • Prepare documentation required for recording sessions and downstream workflow management.
  • Demonstrate proficient operating skills and the ability to perform effectively under strict timelines and rapidly changing conditions.
  • Manage visitor registrations using the studio’s security systems.
  • Monitor studio inventory levels and notify appropriate teams of upcoming equipment needs or shortages.
  • Conduct test recordings as needed to ensure compliance with quality standards and follow all provided instructions.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling, documentation, and resource coordination to maintain efficient studio operations.
  • Adapt to various roles and responsibilities within the studio as operational needs evolve.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of practical experience
  • 1+ year in photo/video production or studio management; or a Master’s degree in a related area such as media arts, film production, video production, etc.
  • Experience working with and communicating with technical teams or experience with technical documentation
  • Proven experience in a video or photo production environment.
  • Technical proficiency in operating video, audio, and lighting equipment, including experience with recording workflows.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities with a proactive approach to resolving issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with editing software and post-production processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and perform well under pressure while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Proficiency in writing clear and structured technical documentation.
  • Flexibility to adjust work schedules, shifts, or days off to support project timelines and department objectives.
  • Experience working with cloud-based storage platforms and managing digital assets.
  • Strong ability to follow instructions accurately and maintain high attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and contribute as part of a team.
