About The Position
As a work from home Data Abstractor, supporting Cardiovascular Surgery, you will be responsible for abstraction of data for complex cardiovascular services. This role involves completing the abstraction process for assigned facilities, including abstraction of cases into the required systems such as COMET, TheraDoc, Digital Innovations, and NHSN. You will review medical records to abstract information according to the standards of various regulatory and accreditation agencies, ensuring compliance with standards through timely abstraction. Additionally, you will complete edit checks, follow standards and instructions to abstract all reportable cases, assist with case follow-up, and maintain clinical knowledge of various abstracted measures. Communication with management to achieve measure compliance and timely submission of data through the appropriate reporting system are also key responsibilities.
