About The Position

The DASEP Specialist at Arisa Health is responsible for providing substance abuse education and serving the court system. This role involves recruiting, screening, interviewing, and training volunteers to advocate for individuals affected by substance abuse. The specialist will facilitate educational classes and interact with individuals and groups in both virtual and in-person settings.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree preferred.
• Experience in psychology or criminal justice field.
• Experience working with substance abuse treatment preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to address individuals and groups effectively.

Nice To Haves

• Fluency in Spanish preferred.
• Experience with virtual classroom facilitation.

Responsibilities

• Provide substance abuse education to individuals and groups.
• Serve the court system by facilitating educational classes.
• Recruit, screen, interview, and train volunteers in assigned counties.
• Assist volunteers in all aspects of advocacy.
• Complete appropriate records and documentation.
• Maintain knowledge of community resources and services available to children and families.
