This recruitment will be used to fill two (2) part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Testing Proctor for the Disability Access Services (DAS) at Oregon State University (OSU). Testing Proctors at Disability Access Services (DAS) administer exams to DAS students in a professional manner. A proctor monitors the testing center environment to ensure academic integrity and facilitate exam instructions by the course instructor. Through this position, student employees will develop core competencies that will better prepare them with transferable skills after graduation. These skills include, but are not limited to: professionalism, customer service, critical thinking , communication and teamwork.   • Demonstrate high level of compliance to DAS Testing Center policies and procedures.
  • Maintain cheerful and welcoming environment.
  • Facilitate administration of exam per faculty instructions.
  • Validate student ID prior to each exam.
  • Implement assistive technology as needed.
  • Willingness to assist students as a 1:1 scribe or reader as needed.
  • Monitor the testing center environment, identifying potential academic integrity issues.
  • Perform sanitizing of testing spaces, high touch areas, locker keys and pens.
  • Facilitate delivery of completed exams on-campus, as needed.
  • Maintain up to date availability and demonstrate ability to be on time and ready for each scheduled shift.
  • Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
  • Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
  • Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
  • High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
  • Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
  • Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term
  • Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
  • Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term
  • International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered "full-time" by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.
  • Have availability to proctor during finals week.
  • Must maintain 2.5 GPA and have no prior academic violations.
