About The Position

Overview We are seeking an experienced DAS Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, deployment, commissioning, and optimization of Distributed Antenna Systems across a variety of complex environments. You will work closely with project managers, RF engineers, clients, and carrier partners to deliver best-in-class in-building and outdoor wireless coverage solutions. Responsibilities Design and engineer passive and active DAS solutions (including neutral-host and carrier-specific systems) for commercial, hospitality, healthcare, education, and public venue environments. Conduct site surveys and perform RF propagation analysis to develop comprehensive coverage designs. Prepare and review technical documentation including design drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and as-built records. Oversee and support DAS installation teams, ensuring work is completed to specification and industry standards. Commission and test DAS systems using tools such as PIM analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and network test equipment. Interface with wireless carriers (AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, etc.) for system acceptance testing and approvals. Troubleshoot and resolve RF performance issues, conducting drive/walk tests and system optimization as needed. Maintain compliance with FCC regulations, local codes, and relevant industry standards (TIA, BICSI, NFPA). Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and field technicians. Collaborate with sales and pre-sales teams on technical proposals and client consultations. Qualifications 3+ years of hands-on experience designing and deploying DAS systems (passive, active, or hybrid). Proficiency with DAS platforms from leading OEMs (e.g., CommScope, SOLiD, Corning, JMA, or similar). Strong understanding of RF fundamentals — link budgets, path loss, VSWR, intermodulation, and antenna theory. Experience with carrier coordination and system acceptance processes. Familiarity with IBC/ERRCS/public safety DAS requirements is a plus. Proficiency with AutoCAD, Visio, or similar design and documentation tools. Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as required.
