About The Position

The position involves teaching a variety of dance styles including hip hop, ballet, tap, jazz, hula, and break dancing to students. The instructor will be responsible for creating lesson plans for each class and choreographing routines for performances and events. Additionally, the role includes coordinating the registration of participants and assisting in the overall success of the Dance program, which encompasses fundraising, special events, and marketing efforts. Ensuring the safety of all participants at all times is a critical aspect of this position.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Experience working with children (paid or volunteer) preferred, but not required.
• Be CPR/First Aid Certified within the first 30 days of employment and maintain certification for continued employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide structured class teaching in various dance styles such as hip hop, ballet, tap, jazz, hula, and break dancing.
• Create lesson plans for each class and choreograph routines for performances and events.
• Coordinate the registration of participants.
