About The Position

To provide high-quality acrobatics instructing to students of all ages and abilities, fostering skill development, confidence, and a love of movement in a safe and inclusive environment. The instructor will design and deliver engaging lesson plans that combine acrobatics and dance techniques while adhering to Park Ridge Park District’s policies and safety standards. We are seeking a skilled Acrobatic Dance Instructor to teach technique, flexibility, and strength while ensuring a safe and supportive environment.

Requirements

Individuals must have two to three experience teaching acro dance
Spotting skills
Working with dancers of various skill levels
Strong instructional abilities are required
Strong communication
A commitment to student safety are essential
High school diploma (or equivalent) and degree or certification in dance, acrobatics, physical education, or an equivalent amount of related training beyond high school
Intermediate level of knowledge in dance theory
Knowledge of injury prevention, anatomy, and safe spotting techniques
Applicants must be able to commit to a consistent weekly schedule
Hours will vary based on the number of classes offered and that have minimum number of registrants
