About The Position
Now Hiring: Underground Utility Locate Technician Must reside in Gwinnett County, GA Region Full-Time | MondayFriday | Overtime & Weekend Availability Weekly Pay What Youll Do As an Underground Utility Locate Technician , youll be the first line of defense in preventing utility damage and ensuring safe excavation. Using advanced computer utility maps and specialized equipment, you'll locate underground infrastructure like cables and pipelines to keep our communities safe and connected. If you're a reliable problem-solver who enjoys working outdoors and values safety, this is your role!
Requirements
- Valid Drivers License (required)
- Ability to use a computer
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
Nice To Haves
- Utility locating or construction experience is a plus, but not required
Responsibilities
- Drive to job sites daily (50200+ miles)
- Use mapping tools and locating equipment to detect underground utilities
- Mark utility locations with paint and flags
- Communicate findings clearly to contractors and excavation crews
- Respond to emergency call-outs per rotation schedule (if applicable)
