We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Damage Control Manager to join our team in North America. This position will oversee fleet damages to advise on maintenance and repair of company vehicles distributed among multiple stations and regions in North America. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fleet damage management including experience in repair estimation and insurance claims, exceptional problem-solving skills, proficiency with database and estimation software, and the ability.

  • High School Diploma & Bachelors Degree or higher required.
  • 2+ Work Experience in Fleet, RV or Automotive repair.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge/certification in insurance processes and claims management preferred.
  • Knowledge/certifications in RV Repair, RV Body repair, and Automotive Repair; Certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee fleet repair & maintenance activity, vehicle availability, and costs within assigned stations/region of North America.
  • Evaluate fleet vehicle damage reports to estimate, catalog, assign, and oversee repair and maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate records of all damage incidents, repairs, and associated costs.
  • Analyze, identify, and develop solutions to issues affecting fleet health & availability.
  • Use damage estimation software to calculate internal repair costs and create billable invoices for customers.
  • Issue customer damage invoices and respond to customer complaints by learning and citing insurance policies, department guidelines, and Rental Terms & Conditions.
  • Handle all aspects of automotive insurance claims in cooperation with insurance agents, brokers, adjusters, appraisers, and repair workshops.
  • Review repair estimates, negotiate repair costs, and approve invoices from repair providers.
  • Conduct weekly online (and ad-hoc) meetings with roadsurfer station staff and technicians to advise and ensure repairs are proceeding on schedule and budget.
  • Provide Maintenance & Repair (M&R) specific training in coordination with Training and Learning.
  • Ensure personal and company compliance with damage record-keeping and cost-approval procedures.
  • Document and investigate damage incidents and discuss preventive measures with Maintenance & Repair Team.
  • Personally support repair teams in coordinating repairs or service work, where necessary.
  • Abide and enforce all applicable regulations and company policies.
  • Support the Regional Technician in administrative tasks and repair management as directed by M&R Leads.
  • Respond rapidly to internal tickets for Breakdown/Accident Assistance.
  • Coordinate vehicle recovery for abandoned vehicles after CST handoff.
  • Review and approve urgent repair estimates submitted by stations and customer service while maintaining strict records of approvals.
