Position Summary: The Dairy Team Lead is responsible for modeling Earth Fares Vision, Mission, Declaration and Customer Service Creed, while training and developing a successful team within the Dairy/Frozen Food Departments. Overall responsibilities include adhering to the departments Standard Operating Procedures; meeting and exceeding financial goals including gross profit, shrink, sales, labor and department over-head. This person is responsible for ensuring a clean, organized, and safe work environment. The Dairy Team Leader may work as a Manager on Duty (MOD) in support of overall store operations, and to help prepare them for promotional opportunities within Earth Fare. Essential Functions Staff Development: Communicates the Earth Fare vision, standard operating procedures, merchandising guidelines, and financial goals to Team Members, with strong emphasis on customer service, safety and sanitation. Interviews, selects, trains, and supports Team Members with the goal of developing new leaders in the Dairy/Frozen Food Departments. Maintains a positive and professional work environment. Clearly defines and communicates expectations to team members. Assists in other areas of grocery when necessary. Operational Tasks: Ordering and receiving deliveries; scheduling; checking daily and weekly sales/movement reports, shrink reports, emails and responding accordingly; conducting quarterly department inventory. Merchandising: Develops and maintains an attractive sales floor by implementing Earth Fare merchandising guidelines. Department Conditions: Maintains cleanliness, sanitation, and overall organization of the department including all fixtures, storage, work stations, freezers, and coolers
