About The Position

The Dairy Team Lead is responsible for modeling Earth Fares Vision, Mission, Declaration and Customer Service Creed, while training and developing a successful team within the Dairy/Frozen Food Departments. Overall responsibilities include adhering to the departments Standard Operating Procedures; meeting and exceeding financial goals including gross profit, shrink, sales, labor and department over-head. This person is responsible for ensuring a clean, organized, and safe work environment. The Dairy Team Leader may work as a Manager on Duty (MOD) in support of overall store operations, and to help prepare them for promotional opportunities within Earth Fare.

Requirements

Strong communication skills with the ability to train, coach in the moment, and lead people in a positive and professional manner.
Strong organization, time management, and multi-tasking skills.
Knowledge of natural and organic food industry trends, as well as common allergies and specialized dietary terms such as gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian, etc.
Understanding of food safety, sanitation and proper storage/display of organic products.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Excel and Outlook. Ability to learn and use a Falcon hand-held computer scanner.
Desire to develop and grow your career with Earth Fare.

Flexibility to support sister stores in the same region when business needs arise.
Must attend work on a regular and predictable basis.

Must be able to stand and be on ones feet the majority of the work day.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with natural/organic products preferred.
Experience in a retail and/or customer service oriented position.
Leadership experience preferred.
Perishable experience and OSHA ServSafe Certification preferred.
Earth Fare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Communicates the Earth Fare vision, standard operating procedures, merchandising guidelines, and financial goals to Team Members, with strong emphasis on customer service, safety and sanitation.
Interviews, selects, trains, and supports Team Members with the goal of developing new leaders in the Dairy/Frozen Food Departments.
Maintains a positive and professional work environment.
Clearly defines and communicates expectations to team members.
Assists in other areas of grocery when necessary.
Ordering and receiving deliveries; scheduling; checking daily and weekly sales/movement reports, shrink reports, emails and responding accordingly; conducting quarterly department inventory.
Develops and maintains an attractive sales floor by implementing Earth Fare merchandising guidelines.
Maintains cleanliness, sanitation, and overall organization of the department including all fixtures, storage, work stations, freezers, and coolers
