About The Position

The Dairy Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Dairy Department while reporting to the Grocery Manager. This role involves managing personnel, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining inventory and product standards. The Dairy Supervisor plays a key role in training staff, managing product displays, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

• Ability to push and pull fully loaded hand trucks and pallet jacks.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move rapidly for long periods, and bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Grocery Manager in directing the operation of the Dairy Department, including supervising and training personnel.
• Assist in ordering, receiving, storing, stocking, inventory control, and building displays.
• Encourage and maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with an emphasis on safe, friendly, and courteous service.
• Engage in suggestive selling and other sales techniques.
• Assist the Grocery Manager in planning and organizing regular and seasonal merchandise requirements and special sales needs.
• Rotate and face products, clean and dust shelves, and process and discard outdated and spoiled products.
• Prevent the sale of out of code products.
• Order Dairy merchandise.
• Train, teach, and coach dairy stocking and conditioning standards.
• Assist with the 'dry grocery' order writing.
• Assist with grocery stocking and conditioning.
• Work on new items.
• Assist with the reclamation process.
• Manage backroom inventory, conditions, and standards.
• Assist with grocery department merchandising and building displays.
• Act as backup cashier.
