Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, train, and direct Grocery Clerks.
  • Perform production and customer service functions.
  • Maximize store sales and profits.

  • Organize work, train, and schedule associates to provide prompt courteous service.
  • Respond to customer or associate comments, complaints, requests, and questions.
  • Use Computer Assisted Ordering to manage ordering of merchandise and supplies.
  • Perform and direct others in pricing and displaying of merchandise.
  • Maintain proper signage, product rotation, freshness, quantity, quality, and space allocation for merchandise.
  • Engage and counsel associates in effective merchandising techniques and customer service.
  • Implement company programs and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Provide input on department budgets, goals, and results.
  • Communicate and interact with associates and customers positively.
  • Maintain equipment and facilities in accordance with company policies.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitary standards in the store.
  • Assist on special projects such as inventories, store resets, and promotions.
  • Supervise and coach direct reports, complete performance reviews, and provide feedback.
