About The Position

Cub if Cottage Grove is looking for a dedicated individual to fill a Full Time Dairy/Frozen Manager position! The Dairy/Frozen Manager is responsible to plan and manage the Dairy and Frozen Food Department to promote sales and achieve profit margins and labor goals; ensure a positive shopping experience for customers and a safe and positive working environment for associates.

Requirements

• Equipment operation (hand jack, power jack, box cutter, flat bed, compactor, broom, mop)
• Able to walk long distances and stand for long periods of time
• Memorization, reading, writing and math
• The position requires on-going customer interaction, providing prompt, courteous and accurate service.
• Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies verbally or in writing.
• Must be able to work shifts varying in length and time, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Relevant work experience preferred.
• Lifting/carrying up to 70 lbs.
• Pushing/pulling up to 2500 lbs.
• Walking on uneven ground.
• Reaching, bending, repetitive motions.
• Extended time in cooler operations (38 degrees) and freezer (-20 degrees).
• Overnight availability between 9:00 pm - 7:00 am is required

Responsibilities

• Assists customers and ensures proper service levels and courtesy from all associates
• Develops effective daily/weekly work plan based on weekly sales projections, budgeted labor goals and previous operating results
• Implements and maintains coordinated, aggressive and creative merchandising plans, using Division guidelines, which maximize sales, variety and gross profit
• Ensures accurate pricing and signage within the department
• Supervises Dairy and Frozen Food associates to ensure efficient labor utilization and effectiveness in meeting department objectives
• Manages Dairy and Frozen Food receiving, invoicing, pricing, shrink control and inventory to ensure proper product control and that gross profit goals are met
• Trains and develops dairy/frozen department personnel
• Supervises department safety and sanitation programs
