About The Position

The mission of all Tops associates is to adhere to the Tops vision of providing a friendly neighborhood store that saves the customer time and money. Associate must possess full knowledge of all dairy/frozen food items, including location. Associate is also responsible for receiving and processing product, as well as stocking shelves, while maintaining a clean department. Associate is responsible for providing attentive and courteous customer service.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age to perform certain functions/tasks
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions
• Possess basic computer skills
• Possess strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Follow all Federal, State, and Local regulations as well as company policies regarding Dairy/Frozen Food operations, safety, and sanitation
• Adhere to company policy through proper receiving, handling, storing and stocking of product
• Maintain proper shelf, case and display conditions, including stocking, cleaning, straightening, and rotating product
• Adhere to shelf management as it applies to following plan-o-gram layouts and new/discontinued items
• Ensure that the coolers, freezers and cases are at proper temperature and in working condition
• Follow direction of Dairy/Frozen Manager and MOD, inform appropriate people if any problems arise
• Assist with bagging/cashing at front end (if needed)
