The Dairy Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the dairy department, ensuring product quality, freshness, and compliance with food safety standards. This role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, managing inventory, and leading a team to achieve departmental goals. - Stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods
- Operate department equipment safely and efficiently
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in grocery retail and/ or perishable department(s) preferred
Responsibilities
- Ensure all dairy products are fresh, properly rotated, and displayed according to company standards.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and manage ordering to minimize waste and maximize profitability.
- Train, supervise, and schedule dairy department staff to ensure efficient operations.
- Monitor compliance with health, sanitation, and safety regulations.
- Develop and implement merchandising strategies to increase sales and customer satisfaction.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
- Conduct regular audits of product quality and department cleanliness.
- Collaborate with store management on promotions and seasonal displays.
