About The Position

The Deli Dairy Frozen Clerk is responsible for ensuring all store deli cases remain stocked and clean during business hours. In addition, the DDF Clerk assists customers and co-workers as instructed by supervisors. This position requires adhering to all procedural guidelines set by the Grocery Department.

Requirements

Able to work prolonged periods of time in an environment with fluctuating temperature ranges
Able to stand prolonged periods of time
Able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
Available to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends & holidays

Responsibilities

Works safely at all times and follows all established safety guidelines and procedures.
Stocking and maintenance of deli cases; to ensure adequate presentation of product, good selection/variety, and correct pricing and product dating to maintain appropriate rotation of deli goods.
Ensures prompt assistance is provided to customers and that staff is offering advice on selection, and storage of deli products.
Cleaning of deli cases; to ensure cleanliness and sanitation of all deli cases and storage coolers.
Assists Dept. Manager - Grocery with receiving, and stocking, rotation of product and inventory of department as requested.
Monitors and maintains deli department merchandising displays and signage.
Monitors and maintains cleanliness and organization of deli department.
Walks deli department regularly to ensure an organized and clean appearance at all times.
Must follow all sanitation guidelines.
Arrives to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work; work all scheduled shifts and attend required trainings and meetings.
Performs other duties as requested or required by management.
