About The Position

The Dairy and Frozen Deli Clerk is responsible for ensuring all store deli cases remain stocked and clean during business hours. This position requires adherence to all procedural guidelines set by the Grocery Department and involves assisting customers and co-workers as instructed by supervisors. The clerk must work safely at all times and follow established safety guidelines and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Stocking and maintenance of deli cases to ensure adequate presentation of product, good selection/variety, and correct pricing and product dating.
• Ensures prompt assistance is provided to customers and that staff is offering advice on selection and storage of deli products.
• Cleaning of deli cases to ensure cleanliness and sanitation of all deli cases and storage coolers.
• Assists Dept. Manager - Grocery with receiving, stocking, rotation of product, and inventory of department as requested.
• Monitors and maintains deli department merchandising displays and signage.
• Monitors and maintains cleanliness and organization of deli department.
• Walks deli department regularly to ensure an organized and clean appearance at all times.
• Follows all sanitation guidelines.
• Arrives to workstation on time, appropriately groomed, dressed, and ready to work; works all scheduled shifts and attends required trainings and meetings.
• Performs other duties as requested or required by management.
