About The Position

The Dairy Clerk position at QFC is designed to create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. The role involves establishing and maintaining a safe and clean environment that encourages customers to return. As a Dairy Clerk, you will assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals established for the department while monitoring all established quality assurance standards. Embracing the Customer 1st strategy is essential, as you will encourage associates to deliver excellent customer service. You will also be expected to demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety in all interactions. In this role, you will promote trust and respect among associates and create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important, and appreciated. This includes answering questions regarding products sold within the department and throughout the store. You will gain and maintain knowledge of the products sold within the department, allowing you to respond to inquiries and make suggestions about products effectively. Offering product samples will help customers discover new items or products they inquire about, and you will inform customers of dairy specials to enhance their shopping experience. Your responsibilities will also include providing customers with fresh products that they have ordered, recommending dairy items to ensure they get the products they want and need, and checking product quality to ensure freshness. You will review sell-by dates and take appropriate action, label, stock, and inventory department merchandise, and report product ordering or shipping discrepancies to the department manager. Maintaining a positive attitude and staying current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads is crucial. Adhering to all food safety regulations and guidelines, ensuring proper temperatures in cases and coolers, and maintaining temperature logs are also part of your duties. You will reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures, identifying unsafe conditions, and notifying store management. Preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and notifying the appropriate department or store manager of any items in need of repair is also expected. Additionally, you will notify management of customer or employee accidents and report all safety risks, issues, and illegal activities, including robbery, theft, or fraud. It is essential to perform the functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
