About The Position

As the Warehouse Checker, you will be responsible for verifying, inspecting, and ensuring accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments within the distribution center. This role ensures that all orders are correctly counted, labeled, and meet quality standards before being received into inventory or shipped to customers. The Warehouse Checker collaborates with warehouse staff, inventory control, and shipping teams to maintain efficient and accurate order fulfillment processes.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) – Three (3) years of experience in warehouse, distribution or logistics role
  • Familiarity with shipping/receiving procedures, inventory control, and quality assurance processes.
  • Experience with RF scanners, inventory tracking systems, and warehouse management software is a plus.
  • Proficiency in English (written and verbal) to effectively communicate with associates and leadership

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and outgoing shipments against pick tickets.
  • Check product quantities, item descriptions, and packaging to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Record any discrepancies, damages, or missing items and report to the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Ensure all labels, barcodes, and tracking information are correctly applied.
  • Perform random quality checks on picked orders before final shipment.
  • Ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) and inventory rotation procedures are followed.
  • Assist inventory teams in cycle counting and stock audits to maintain accuracy.
  • Monitor temperature-sensitive products (if applicable) and report any quality concerns.
  • Work closely with warehouse associates, forklift operators, and inventory specialists to streamline operations.
  • Assist in palletizing, wrapping, and loading shipments to meet company and customer standards.
  • Communicate with drivers, supervisors, and team leads to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Follow warehouse safety procedures to prevent accidents and product damage.
  • Complete shipment verification reports and update warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Maintain detailed records of shipments, discrepancies, and quality concerns.
  • Assist in preparing reports for audits, compliance checks, and warehouse performance tracking.
  • Establish emergency protocols for accident response, supply chain disruptions, and security breaches.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by leadership
