About The Position
Daily Substitute Teachers are in on-call positions, covering classes for teachers who are absent – implementing lesson plans for the day; Demonstrating good classroom/behavior management skills in order to maintain a safe learning environment; Adhering to school policies and procedures; Communicating with school personnel as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum two years college/university coursework
- Experience working with children in an educational setting or child care/camp setting
- Knowledge and understanding of child development and/or adolescent needs
- Ability to provide/implement appropriate instructional activities for elementary and/or secondary school students
- Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language required
