About The Position

NBCUniversal is seeking a Dailies Assist to provide day‑to‑day support for the Dailies Operator and report to the Technical Manager of Dailies Operations. You will be within a dynamic Film & Television production environment, bringing a high level of computer aptitude and the ability to manage multiple priorities under strict time constraints while maintaining 100% accuracy. You demonstrate in‑depth knowledge of Mac and Windows operating systems, along with hands‑on familiarity with hard drive technologies, including Thunderbolt and USB.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience with editing software
• 1+ years of experience working with Avid, Colorfront, and Cortex
• Communicates with ease – You have a way with words; written and verbal
• Impeccable attention to detail– You bring customer requests to life by organizing the team’s daily work plans and scheduling commitments. The studio operations team will excel with your keen attention to work due dates and schedule commitments. You pay attention to all the details - especially visually!
• Deep knowledge base – Clear understanding of video standards, transcoding software, framerates, resolutions, and aspect ratios
• Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Dailies Operator on assigned projects
• Ensure the timeliness and technical accuracy of all client deliveries
• Adhere to strict security protocols to protect client intellectual property
• Perform file ingest, file management, and transcoding
• Execute additional responsibilities as assigned
• Willing to travel on assignment
• Ability to work a shift-based schedule, including nights and weekends, as required
