About The Position

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Assume responsibility for assigned section throughout shift. Recognize and acknowledge guests as soon as possiblewithin one minute of being seated, unless waiting on another table or picking up food. Handle all tables in a satisfactory manner at all times, including during peak hours and other high-demand time periods. Utilize proper tray service (i.e. trays balanced on change hand, carried above shoulder and placed on tray jack). Maintain current knowledge of service procedures, menus, Micros operations and seating chart. Utilize suggestive sales techniques as appropriate. Collect payment from guests by utilizing Micros system. Engage in light food preparation as needed. Perform daily side work as required. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining and service areas. Thank guests upon their departure, and invite them to return. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications

Requirements

  • Prior service experience preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong point-of-sales computer skills.
  • Knowledge of suggestive sales techniques.
  • Knowledge of menu and bar selections.
  • Able to work well and maintain composure under stressful conditions.
  • Able to maintain a warm, friendly, outgoing and energetic demeanor.
  • Able to maintain a neat, professional appearance.
  • Able to maintain a flexible schedule.
  • Sensitivity to various cultures, including Native American cultures.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Able and willing to work any changes in scheduled hours as required.
  • Serve as a credit to Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel, and encourage others to do the same.
  • Mobility throughout the facility.
  • High level of physical endurance.
  • Able to walk extensively.
  • Able to bend and stoop.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
