About The Position

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Directly supervise and coordinate activities of Dacotah Dining staff to ensure the delivery of quality products and service. Supervise daily department operations. Assume managerial duties and responsibilities in department managers absence. Work opposite shift of Dacotah Dining Manager as needed. Schedule and assign stations to department staff. Hire, train, review and discipline department staff as required. Maintain and enforce department policies and procedures. Promptly address all guest and team member concerns in a respectful and professional manner. Maintain current knowledge of service procedures, menus, Micros operations and seating chart. Maintain accurate payroll, personnel, cash handling and sales records. Assist with inventory control as needed. Alert department manager of any inventory shortages. Evaluate and adjust staff levels according to business needs. Promote a high level of morale, productivity and efficiency. Perform various lobby and dining area functions as needed. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. QualificationsEXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS Prior food and beverage experience required. Prior supervisory experience required. ServSafe certification preferred. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ATTRIBUTES Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Strong leadership skills. Strong point-of-sale and computer skills. Knowledge of casino and department policies and procedures. Knowledge of staff scheduling. Knowledge of menu and bar selections. Able to work well and maintain composure under stressful conditions. Able to inspire and motivate staff. Able to maintain a flexible schedule.. Able to multi-task. UNIVERSAL REQUIREMENTS Sensitivity to various cultures, including Native American cultures. Regular attendance and punctuality. Able and willing to work any changes in scheduled hours as required. Serve as a credit to Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel, and encourage others to do the same. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Mobility throughout the facility. Ability to stand and walk extensively. Ability to bend and stoop. Ability to move dining room furniture. Ability to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
