About The Position

Greet and welcome guests in a warm, genuine manner. Seat guests in an organized pattern to ensure smooth flow of service. Maintain current knowledge of service procedures, menus, Micros operations and seating chart. Complete tasks for guests as requested to ensure their satisfaction. Take all to go orders via phone or in person. Collect payment from guests by utilizing Micros system. Perform light bookkeeping duties and cash stand housekeeping as required. Ensure upkeep of all menus and dining room supplies. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of lobby and dining areas. Perform daily side work as required. Engage in light food preparation as needed. Utilize suggestive sales techniques as appropriate. Thank guests upon their departure, and invite them to return. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Prior cashier experience preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent cash handling and point-of-sales computer skills.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Strong evaluative and decision-making skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of suggestive sales techniques.
  • Knowledge of menu and bar selections.
  • Ability to work well and maintain composure under stressful conditions.
  • Ability to maintain a warm, friendly, outgoing and energetic demeanor.
  • Ability to maintain a neat, professional appearance.
  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule.
  • Sensitivity to various cultures, including Native American cultures.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Able and willing to work any changes in scheduled hours as required.
  • Serve as a credit to Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel, and encourage others to do the same.
  • Mobility throughout the facility.
  • High level of physical endurance.
  • Ability to walk extensively.
  • Ability to bend and stoop.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to move dining room furniture.
