About The Position

The Busser/Room Service Attendant at Jackpot Junction is responsible for ensuring a clean and organized dining environment while providing excellent service to guests. This part-time position involves clearing and resetting tables, handling room service orders, maintaining cleanliness in dining areas, and engaging in light food preparation. The role requires excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure during peak hours.

Requirements

  • Prior service or bussing experience preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Knowledge of suggestive sales techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Clear and reset dining room tables as assigned.
  • Handle all room service orders in a satisfactory manner at all times, including during peak hours and other high-demand time periods.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining and service areas, including all floors, chairs, and walls.
  • Stock table supplies as needed, and ensure the upkeep of supplies.
  • Perform daily side work and service tray pick-up.
  • Take room service orders via phone.
  • Engage in light food preparation as needed.
  • Ensure that room service station is clean and organized.
  • Maintain current knowledge of service procedures, menus, Micros operations, and seating chart.
  • Complete tasks for guests as requested in order to ensure their satisfaction.
  • Utilize suggestive sales techniques as appropriate.
  • Collect payment from guests by utilizing Micros system.
  • Document all cash transactions.
  • Perform light bookkeeping duties and cash stand housekeeping as required.
  • Thank guests upon their departure, and invite them to return.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
