About The Position

EGS is seeking a D & D Supervisor/Superintendent to manage the safe shutdown and decontamination and facility decommissioning, for large projects of Uranium contaminated infrastructure such as material handling systems, soil, roofs, buildings, roads, power sources and others ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations in support of a large D&D project for a DOE facility. Qualified candidates will have previous experience with these types of projects for the a DOE laboratory or commercial nuclear facility or both. This is a direct hire position located in Southern Ohio that comes with top competitive salaries and great benefits. Relocation assistance is available. Salary total income ranges from $135K to $180K

Requirements

BA/BS degree in a related field and 10-20+ years Commercial Nuclear D & D DOE-EM experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Responsibilities

Implementing Hazard Work Planning and Control (WP&C) to create a safe work environment, often adhering to strict regulations (e.g., DOE or CCDO guidelines).
Overseeing the shutdown of machinery, hazardous material removal, and final facility demolition.
Leading craft professionals and crew members, often managing large teams of personnel through complex, high-risk demolition projects.
Managing and supervising subcontractors.
Developing and revising safe work procedures and reducing risks in nuclear or hazardous chemical environments.
Ensuring on-schedule project completion and coordinating of onsite waste disposal/recycling.
Strong knowledge of Safety Health Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) management systems.
