About The Position

The Human Resources Assistant at HomeGoods Distribution Center plays a vital role in supporting the HR team by managing payroll, maintaining personnel records, and assisting with employee relations. Requirements

  • Computer proficient, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Intercommunication skills.
  • Customer Service Driven.

  • Ability to handle confidential data.
  • Flexible and adaptable to change.
  • Reliable and diligent with a history of work presence.

Nice To Haves

  • Bi-Lingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Processes payroll using Kronos and Oracle Time & Attendance system.
  • Maintains accurate records and personnel files.
  • Assists supervisors with associate relations issues, specifically answering HR related questions and interpretations.
  • Serves as back-up to the Receptionist and is cross-trained to handle benefits and worker's compensation tasks.
  • Coordinates Leave of Absences; Personal, Medical, FMLA.
  • Conducts Benefit Orientations and 401K orientations.
  • Acts as liaison between Associates and external support groups; assists Associates in securing the appropriate support.
  • Maintains I-9 records and supports compliance with federal laws regarding recordkeeping requirements.
  • Other duties may also be assigned.
