About The Position

The Cytology Processing Laboratory Technician at TriCore Reference Laboratories is responsible for performing waived and moderate complexity laboratory testing, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring quality control and quality assurance procedures are followed. This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and relevant laboratory experience, contributing to the overall efficiency and accuracy of laboratory operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Medical Laboratory Scientist Certification.
• 1 year of clinical laboratory experience.
• Four years' experience as a clinical lab assistant or equivalent, or completion of the theory portion of MLT or MLS program and enrollment in clinical rotations, or four years combined relevant experience and education with at least one year of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform waived and moderate complexity laboratory testing under general supervision.
• Conduct equipment maintenance and ensure proper functioning of laboratory instruments.
• Implement quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) procedures to maintain laboratory standards.
