About The Position

The Cypress Automation QA Engineer will work within an agile team to perform software verification activities, focusing on designing and implementing high-level test strategies and methodologies. This role emphasizes establishing quality assurance best practices, mentoring junior engineers, and driving continuous improvements in product testing processes. The engineer will also be responsible for executing and maintaining automated test scripts, analyzing test data, and collaborating closely with developers and product owners to resolve issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 5-7 years of QA experience
• 2+ years of experience with Cypress (Typescript /Javascript)
• 3+ years of experience with other automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber, or Playwright)
• Experience with SQL
• Experience with API testing using Postman
• Experience with JIRA
• Experience with Protractor is a plus

Responsibilities

• Work within an agile team environment to perform software verification activities.
• Design, develop, drive, and deliver high-level test strategies and methodologies.
• Establish quality assurance best practices and benchmarks and drive adoption across the QA team.
• Implement metrics, analyze test data and results to identify patterns, report on risk status to development partners and influence software quality.
• Work closely with and mentor more junior Quality Assurance engineers, help establish the organization's QA roadmap, and build a world-class QA engineering team.
• Drive continuous improvements in product testing processes (test plans, automation, testing resources, etc.).
• Document and/or review testing results working closely with developers and product owners to resolve reported issues.
• Execute and maintain the automated test scripts, assuring continuous testing process.
• Show strong expertise in reproducing, analyzing, and finding the root cause for clients' issues.
