The Cylindrical Technician receives raw materials and shop consumables, maintains the raw materials/consumable's locations, and pulls the required material(s) for internal work orders. Our facility is located in Gorham ME, less than a twenty-minute drive to Portland ME. The Gorham area offers easy access to great outdoor activities, safe communities, and quality schooling both K through 12 and Colleges.

Requirements

• High School Degree or GED.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and handle numerous tasks simultaneously.
• Demonstrated ability for organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently.
• Regular standing, sitting, and speaking.
• Frequent walking.
• Occasional climbing stairs, reaching overhead, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate Tru Tech and Super Tech cylindrical CNC machines to grind necks onto tooling.
• Operate Okamoto surface grinder in completion Weldon flat and whistle notches.
• Operate manual grinding machines for finished tool cut-offs and various ruff in operations.
• Operate Clemco sandblast machine in performance of Tuff Grip shank modifications and coating removal.
• Move from one work department to another based on the needs of production.
• Train and work proficiently in a minimum of two of the following areas: Prep operations in the Manual, Pre-and Post-CNC operations, Hone and polish operations, Etching, tube and labeling product.
• Train other employees in general production.
• Work to shop documents, drawings and specifications.
• Other duties as assigned.
