About The Position

The RTC operator is responsible for assisting the production supervisor and team lead with the overall refurbishment of all incoming and outgoing cylinders, including but not limited to testing cylinders, sandblasting cylinders, and painting cylinders. Monday-Friday, first shift hours are 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • DOT certification is required or must be obtained within 1 year
  • Forklift, overhead crane, and clamp operation experience required or the ability to become certified within 60 days
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of hand tools
  • Functional computer skills are required
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check

Nice To Haves

  • Process Technician Experience or associate degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment to test, blast, band, and paint cylinders utilizing water-based paint and certifying cylinders when needed
  • Ensures that processed products meet established regulatory, customer, and A-Gas internal requirements and specifications
  • Follows quality protocol concerning required documentation of verifications and the documentation, notification, and handling of non-conformities
  • Inspects cylinders for defects, dents, and cracks
  • Understands the hazards of various gases; sizes, and contents of cylinders by reading and interpreting cylinder labels and the color-coding of tanks
