About The Position

As a Production Associate (Cylinder Maintenance), you will support the flow of loading and unloading liquid and high-pressure cylinders. You will also contribute to the Maintenance Team by conducting visual inspections and performing routine maintenance on the cylinder inventory. Carrying out cylinder inspections prior to filling, ensuring alignment with Airgas, distributor, and governmental regulations. Recognizing and assessing cylinder contents, sizes, and potential gas hazards by utilizing color-coding systems and interpreting labels. Evaluating returned units for physical damage such as cracks, dents, or burns, and performing basic equipment maintenance and pre-fill checks. Recognizing and isolating any defective units or cylinders requiring specific testing to ensure safety. Caring for cylinder cleanliness and removing outdated labeling to maintain high standards. Utilizing material-handling tools, including pallet jacks and forklifts, in a safe and mindful manner.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or an equivalent GED.
  • Must have the ability to handle strenuous physical tasks, including regular lifting of 25–75 lbs. and infrequent lifting of more than 100 lbs.
  • Candidates must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future. This position is not open for non-immigrant visa sponsorship.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend all written communication, both computer generated and hand written.
  • Must have the ability to operate a forklift and become forklift certified.
