About The Position

We’re looking for a Cylinder Filler. This is a full-time position that works Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

40 hours of PTO after 90 days, 80 hours after 1 year of employment with additional increases after 3 and 7 years

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic math skills
• Basic computer knowledge and experience
• Must be able to use/wear required personal protective equipment

Nice To Haves

• Previous cylinder sorting and filling experience
• Forklift and pallet jack experience
• Palm pilot/hand scanners experience
• Ability to use the following tools: air wrench, socket wrench/sockets, lab analyzers, hammer, crescent wrench, cylinder/can carts

Responsibilities

• The Cylinder Filler is responsible for filling industrial, medical and specialty gas products into cylinders in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and follow the standard operating procedures of S.J. Smith Company
• They will also serve customers by meeting their needs and providing excellent customer service.
