As a Designated Agency for the State of Vermont, NKHS provides essential services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, children and youth with serious emotional disabilities, and adults experiencing mental health and substance use challenges. Serving Caledonia, Essex, and Orleans counties, NKHS supports nearly 4,000 community members annually through case management, outpatient therapy, crisis services, psychiatry, medication management, residential care, school-based services, and more. CYFS Outpatient Clinician The CYFS Senior Outpatient Clinician provides comprehensive diagnostic assessments, therapeutic interventions, and clinical consultation for children, youth, and families in an outpatient setting. This role offers a unique opportunity to work across both clinic and school-based environments, supporting clients in the settings where they are most comfortable and engaged. As a senior member of the clinical team, this position plays a key role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care while also helping to shape and strengthen program development within CYFS. The clinician will provide individual, group, and family therapy, support crisis intervention when needed, and collaborate closely with schools, families, and community partners to ensure coordinated, client-centered care. In addition to direct service, this role includes opportunities for leadership and mentorship, including providing clinical guidance to interns and early-career clinicians, supporting staff development, and contributing to the growth of internship and training programs. The ideal candidate brings strong clinical expertise, sound judgment, and a passion for working with children and families in a community mental health setting.
