About The Position

The Plant Cycle Counter will perform audits on and investigations into identified issues with the perpetual inventory of material within the plant, including Raw Materials, Work in Process and Finished Goods stock keeping units. This position takes direction and assignment from the Material Manager. This position will work and interface with individuals from the Quality, Materials and Manufacturing areas to accomplish their assignments. This position must exhibit individual initiative, discipline of action, and technical knowledge of the systems utilized. This position will follow all company policies, guidelines and work instructions in meeting the legal, ethical and financial requirements of the company.

Requirements

  • Must be able to operate lift equipment and scales.
  • Ability to use current inventory reconciling process.
  • Two years work experience within storeroom environment.
  • Ability to lift 35 lbs. with proper lifting technique, occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to understand shop math, blueprints, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Capable of using personal computer to complete documentation and obtain information.
  • Ability to read work instructions and documentation.
  • Have a superior record of attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to EHSMS policies and procedures to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Adhere to QMS policies and procedures to ensure the production of quality products for customers.
  • Adhere to Federal-Mogul financial and inventory accounting practices/guidelines/procedures.
  • Maintain equipment utilized and an organized work environment while completing duties.
  • Notify manager or other members of the management team of non-conformities or inability to complete assigned tasks.
  • Carry out Federal-Mogul financial guidelines and procedures for maintenance of the perpetual inventory system.
  • Data entry of scrap tickets from production or others into SAP.
  • Count inventory through piece scale counts, reconcile against inventory records, and determine variance.
  • Usage and entry of records within SAP.
  • Maintain records and files associated with processes.
  • Participate in determining corrective actions of non-compliant inventory counts, processes, or processing as requested by the Manager.
  • Understand and utilize the existing inventory reconciling process and detect damage and deterioration of product during cycle count activity.
  • Report discrepancies to manager or supervisor for proper reporting within Financial Reporting requirements.
