JOB SUMMARY:The cycle counter is responsible for the physical counting of materials and finished goods as well as the validation of product quantities on hand by utilizing the inventory control system. This includes but is not limited to computers, manual paperwork, reports, the R/F scanning system, and input from other employees. The position is responsible for analyzing and reconciliation of inventory variances. In addition, the position includes the manual calculations and computer entry of various reports from various departments (slitter, blanker, press, manufacturing, receiving, etc.). There are two cycle counter positions on first shift that are divided into two categories, raw materials and finished goods. The raw materials cycle counter performs required duties by physically counting product in the raw materials warehouse. The finished goods cycle counter performs required duties by physically counting product in the finished goods warehouse. Both positions require ability to use the R/F system, use of adding machines, filing, research ability, analytical ability, problem solving skills, good communication skills, and warehouse operation knowledge. The employee is cross-trained on both the raw material inventory and the finished goods inventory and may be required to work with either. DESCRIPTION OF TASKS:
