About The Position

The Cycle Counter is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records through regular cycle counting and reconciliation activities. This role ensures inventory accuracy, supports operational efficiency, and helps prevent stock discrepancies within the warehouse or distribution center.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1–3 years of warehouse, inventory, or cycle counting experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Basic computer skills; experience with WMS or ERP systems a plus
  • Ability to perform repetitive counting tasks with consistency
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Must be able to read and understand English.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts according to established schedules
  • Accurately count inventory using handheld scanners or manual count sheets
  • Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies between physical counts and system records
  • Identify root causes of variances and report findings to management
  • Enter count data into inventory management or ERP systems accurately and timely
  • Support physical inventories and audits as required
  • Maintain accurate labeling, bin locations, and storage organization
  • Follow inventory control procedures, safety guidelines, and quality standards
  • Communicate discrepancies, damages, or process issues to supervisors
  • Assist with process improvements to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency
  • Assists with training
