About The Position

The Cycle Count Specialist at Hy-Vee is responsible for maintaining department standards for customer service, employee relations, cleanliness, sanitation, professional appearance, and overall profitability. This role ensures that products are available to customers in a timely manner and that all item parameters are accurately maintained in the product management software. The position requires a positive attitude and the ability to create a friendly atmosphere through teamwork and flexibility.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Strong basic math skills necessary.
• Over six months to one year of similar or related experience.
• Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions.
• Ability to perform arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a positive attitude and creates an atmosphere of friendliness and fun through flexibility and teamwork.
• Generates a friendly atmosphere by encouraging employees to greet and speak to customers.
• Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern, and patience in all customer interactions.
• Assists store management with gross profit analysis and other management reporting functions.
• Ensures inventory information is accurate for monthly inventory.
• Utilizes product management software to minimize out of stocks and maintain correct item parameters.
• Ensures advertised, EDLP, and RDA items are priced and signed correctly.
• Monitors excess inventory and works with store management to minimize it.
• Ensures price changes and product information changes for all items are completed in a timely manner.
• Assists department managers with questions concerning product management.
