About The Position

The United States Space Command (USSPACECOM) is seeking a highly qualified candidate for the position of Cyberspace Operations Planner NH-0301-03 in Colorado Springs, CO. This role is critical in ensuring that the command can effectively plan and execute cyberspace operations that align with its strategic objectives. The selected candidate will serve as a subject matter expert within the Joint Cyber Center (JCC), analyzing both strategic and operational requirements. The position involves collaboration with USCYBERCOM and its components, as well as other organizations, to align cyber mission forces with USSPACECOM's goals. The planner will be responsible for integrating cyberspace operations across a range of military operations, ensuring that efforts are coordinated throughout the competition, crisis, and conflict continuum. In this role, the employee will conduct extensive research, design, and analysis of policies, concepts of operations (CONOP), and tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP). They will lead complex, multi-discipline studies related to theater-wide programs and processes for cyberspace operations. The planner will also conduct comprehensive analyses aimed at improving cyberspace planning programs and processes, enhancing the effectiveness, economy, and efficiency of operations. Additionally, the position requires interpreting complex doctrine and national policy to provide leadership with informed advice on cyberspace plans and operations that have significant implications. The Cyberspace Operations Planner will establish, plan, and direct programs and processes, leading operational planning efforts across offensive mission sets. They will assist in developing and synchronizing non-kinetic effects in support of USSPACECOM's mission. The role also involves synthesizing information from various sources to develop actionable courses of action, providing recommendations, and resolving issues related to cyberspace operations in alignment with space strategy, policy, and plans. Coordination with both internal and external organizations is essential to ensure that cyberspace operations planning requirements are met, and the planner will create operational designs that integrate cyberspace operations into strategic plans to effectively address conflicts with adversaries.
