About The Position

PayPal's Cyber & Information Security (PCIS) team is seeking self-driven, detail-oriented Information Security interns for the Summer 2025 Internship program. Interns will be aligned with specific security and risk teams, gaining access to cutting-edge technologies and resources to address the evolving cyber threat landscape. The role involves supporting the management of cyber and information security risks, compliance with technology regulations, and contributing to strategic decision-making within the organization.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Master's degree in business administration or similar, including coursework in cybersecurity, business, public policy, economics, statistics, risk management, or computer science.
  • Ability to manage change and ambiguity with an action-orientation/drive.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of current and emerging technologies and potential for exploitation.
  • Knowledge of risk management processes (e.g., methods for assessing and mitigating risk).
  • Knowledge of laws, regulations, policies, and ethics as they relate to cybersecurity and IT management.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity and privacy principles.
  • Knowledge of cyber threats and vulnerabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and apply the enterprise policies, standards and framework for governance, risk, and compliance.
  • Conduct research and analysis on emerging cybersecurity issues that may impact PayPal's strategy and policy, and present key findings and recommendations.
  • Participate in the development and execution of cybersecurity policy and strategy guidance, communications, and engagements.
  • Develop and support the dissemination of cybersecurity strategic messaging to external audiences.
