About The Position

Are you ready to make an impact? West Monroe is hiring a Security Senior Architect for our growing Cybersecurity & Enterprise Technology consulting practice! This role will lead cross-functional teams in the design, engineering, and deployment of secure, scalable security architectures across modern cloud and enterprise environments. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred, or equivalent experience required
  • Consulting firm and/or industry experience preferred
  • 8–10+ years of experience in security architecture, cybersecurity engineering, or IT architecture with a strong security focus
  • Deep and hands-on experience in one or more of the following domains: cloud security, identity & access management, data security, and/or AI security
  • Familiarity with security architecture frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, Zero Trust)
  • Experience integrating security into DevOps / DevSecOps practices and infrastructure-as-code
  • Strong communication, presentation, and technical leadership skills
  • Willingness to travel for client engagements
  • Passionate about guiding, coaching, and teaching less experienced consultants

Nice To Haves

  • Compliance and regulatory experience (NIST, ISO, CMMC), scripting (Python, PowerShell), Microsoft 365 security, IAM platforms, AI governance, or relevant security/cloud certifications

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with West Monroe consultants and client leadership to architect, design, and implement security solutions that protect cloud, data, identity, and AI-enabled systems while supporting business objectives
  • Assess current-state security posture, cloud environments, data flows, and identity architectures; interview stakeholders; gather requirements; and recommend pragmatic, risk-based security strategies.
  • Define and enforce security architecture standards, patterns, and governance aligned to cloud security, data protection, identity and access management (IAM), and AI security best practices
  • Design secure cloud architectures and landing zones with embedded controls for identity, network security, data protection, and monitoring
  • Architect and guide implementation of IAM solutions including identity lifecycle management, privileged access management, Zero Trust, and access governance
  • Design and advise on data security strategies including data classification, encryption, key management, privacy, and secure data sharing
  • Evaluate and design security controls for AI and emerging technologies, including model access controls, data usage protections, and responsible AI risk mitigation
  • Support key architectural decisions related to security tooling, cloud services, and implementation approaches
  • Partner with delivery teams to integrate security into cloud deployments, DevSecOps pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code workflows
  • Support business development through proposal development, pre-sales security discovery, and client presentations
  • Mentor and coach junior consultants on security architecture best practices, client delivery, and professional development
  • Contribute to practice development and Centers of Excellence by sharing insights, thought leadership, and evolving methodologies
