About The Position

Valiant Solutions is seeking a Cybersecurity & Reporting Analyst to join our rapidly growing and innovative cybersecurity team! Valiant Solutions is seeking a Cybersecurity & Reporting Analyst to support our government client’s cybersecurity program within an enterprise information security organization. You will join our existing team, which has been serving this client for many years. This role supports cybersecurity governance, reporting, and documentation lifecycle management through a combination of technical writing, data analytics, dashboard maintenance, and stakeholder coordination. The IT Systems & Reporting Analyst is responsible for maintaining authoritative cybersecurity reporting artifacts, ensuring documentation quality and accessibility, and supporting recurring governance and compliance activities. The position works closely with cybersecurity subject-matter experts and program leadership to produce accurate, compliant, and executive-ready deliverables. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related fieldORFive (5) or more years of relevant federal IT, cybersecurity, or technical documentation experience in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum two (2) years supporting federal IT or cybersecurity programs
  • Demonstrated experience producing high-quality written deliverables with minimal revisions
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey technical information clearly

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting federal cybersecurity governance, compliance, or risk management programs
  • Experience with Power BI dashboard development and maintenance
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity reporting tools or platforms such as JCAM or similar systems
  • Experience supporting Section 508 compliance reviews
  • Experience maintaining SharePoint-based document repositories
  • Comfort presenting information in virtual or in-person settings

Responsibilities

  • Develop new and update existing Power BI cybersecurity dashboards, including enterprise cybersecurity dashboards, using authoritative data sources such as JCAM (eGRC tool) or equivalent systems.
  • Develop PowerBI dashboard automation to support a range of compliance automation and analytics use cases
  • Develop UI/UX for PowerBI, delivering eye-catching designs that are intuitive to navigate
  • Validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency prior to publication.
  • Develop, maintain, and publish Weekly Status Reports (WSRs) and Monthly Status Reports (MSRs) for government and corporate stakeholders.
  • Support development of new reporting and analytics products to improve cybersecurity visibility and decision support.
  • Write, edit, and copyedit cybersecurity and IT documentation including policies, procedures, reports, briefings, presentations, and special deliverables.
  • Ensure documentation adheres to established revision control, formatting, and quality standards.
  • Perform Section 508 accessibility compliance reviews and remediation.
  • Maintain documentation integrity through version control, change tracking, and systematic review.
  • Support annual and ad hoc cybersecurity policy update cycles, including preparation for data calls, incorporation of approved changes, and publication of final documents.
  • Participate in cybersecurity and privacy working groups to review control language changes.
  • Coordinate control language updates using Microsoft Forms and track approvals through completion.
  • Update control catalogs and related documentation based on approved changes.
  • Maintain and update SharePoint sites and pages, including document libraries, links, and published content.
  • Upload, replace, and manage official cybersecurity documentation to ensure accuracy and currency.
  • Support collaboration activities using Microsoft Teams and related M365 tools.
  • Develop the monthly cybersecurity newsletter issued by the government client’s CISO or cybersecurity leadership.
  • Create and maintain executive-level PowerPoint briefings and presentations.
  • Support virtual and in-person briefings as required.
  • Upload and maintain copies of WSRs and MSRs in Valiant corporate repositories.
  • Provide proposal development support, including writing, editing, formatting, and compliance checks.
  • Support internal reporting and analytics initiatives as requested.
