Collins Aerospace Government Security Compliance (GSC) is seeking a Cybersecurity Projects Lead to lead our Cybersecurity initiatives. As the Cybersecurity Projects Lead, you will be a driving force behind our cybersecurity initiatives. Your dual role involves overseeing critical projects while ensuring the security of our systems and data. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage milestones, and introduce new policies and procedures seamlessly. This position is on-site in Largo, FL

  • Spearhead transformative cybersecurity projects organization-wide.
  • Form working groups, define project scope, and oversee project timelines to ensure effective project management.
  • Ensure the successful delivery of initiatives within budget and schedule.
  • Apply a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles to protect and empower.
  • Advise on policy development, evaluate risks, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and emerging threats.
  • Help lead a team of cybersecurity professionals.
  • Coach and develop team members, providing regular performance feedback.
  • Cultivate an atmosphere of collaboration, innovation, and continuous growth.
  • Engage with security partners, internal customers, and U.S. Government representatives.
  • Facilitate engaging training sessions, briefings, and presentations for organizational levels and audiences.
  • Steer cybersecurity efforts to advance organizational goals and drive the business forward.
  • Promote compliance and enforce adherence to policies.
  • Champion a vibrant culture of security awareness and shared accountability.
  • Collaborate with security leadership to drive major strategic initiatives.
  • Adapt quickly to evolving security challenges and help drive our ongoing success.
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • An active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance is required prior to the start date.
  • DoDM 8140.03 IAM Level III certified credentials (CISSP, CISM, GSLC, or CCISO)
  • Proven experience in managing complex projects and cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with stakeholders.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, Power BI, Power Automate, and other tools.
  • Relevant experience consists of any combination: Cybersecurity, systems security, and compliance, or system hardening.
  • Network or systems security experience, including architecture, topology, protocols, components, or principles.
  • Experience configuring and auditing Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Experience with security tools, including Nessus, SCAP, and ACAS.
  • Compliance-based auditing using the Risk Management Framework (RMF), DCSA Assessment and Authorization Guide (DAAG), Joint SAP Implementation Guide (JSIG), 32 CFR Part 117, SNAC guides, ICD-503, and/or non-defense regulations such as FAA, Payment Card Industry (PCI), ISO 9001 Quality Management standards, or HIPAA
  • Physical security, police/criminal justice, investigations, or Border Patrol experience
  • Project or program management, or account management.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
  • Experience in the oversight and execution of the Assessment & Authorization processes as defined in NIST 800-53, JSIG, and DAAG.
  • Experience in the execution and management of Information Systems (IS) incident response and administrative inquiries/investigations in collaboration with the Investigations department.
  • Experience in the oversight and execution of a continuous monitoring/improvement program, such as self-inspections, security control assessments, training, log management systems, automated inventory utilities, etc.
  • Experience providing technical security expertise and cross-functional oversight for complex, cross-domain, heterogeneous classified networked environments.
  • Experience with various types of special test equipment (STE), and/or platform IT.
  • Knowledge in UNIX, Linux, Solaris, IRIX, SUSE, Windows, and MAC operating systems.
  • Experience in professional engagements with internal and external customers (e.g., AOs, DAOs, SCAs, Program Managers, etc.), to include negotiating controls/requirements with government Contracting Activities.
