About The Position

Leidos Corporate Information Security is seeking a Cybersecurity Platform Intern to support enterprise security initiatives. This internship provides hands-on experience working in a large-scale cybersecurity environment across identity, network, and data protection domains. The selected candidate will contribute to real-world security projects focused on improving visibility, strengthening access controls, and enhancing detection capabilities. Project assignments may include identity security analytics, data protection and access governance, or network and third-party connectivity analysis. This is an opportunity to work alongside experienced cybersecurity professionals while developing practical skills in security operations, analytics, and engineering. Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
US citizenship required
Basic understanding of networking and/or cybersecurity concepts
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly
Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid environment

Nice To Haves

Exposure to cybersecurity tools or concepts (e.g., logging platforms, identity systems, cloud security)
Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs)
Experience with data analysis or visualization tools (Excel, Power BI, etc.)
Interest in cybersecurity operations, threat detection, or Zero Trust architecture
Coding experience with Python or other scripting languages

Responsibilities

Complete a work package assignment that helps improve the underlying cyber security for the Leidos enterprise.
Analyze security data from enterprise tools (e.g., log platforms, identity systems, cloud services)
Assist in building dashboards and reports to improve security visibility
Document system configurations, access controls, and security processes
Identify potential risks, gaps, or improvement opportunities
Support cross-functional teams in troubleshooting and analysis efforts
Present findings in clear, concise written summaries
