  • Support the monitoring and protection of cloud-based workloads within Azure.
  • Assist in security incident identification, investigation, and response.
  • Analyze security alerts, triage events, and help coordinate incident response.
  • Collaborate with security engineers to implement best practices.
  • Review security configurations and conduct vulnerability assessments.
  • Help maintain documentation and playbooks for security operations.
  • Participate in team meetings, knowledge transfers, and training sessions.
  • Stay updated on the latest Azure security features and threats.
  • Senior status at an accredited college/university, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Strong interest in cloud computing, cyber security, and IT operations.
  • Foundational understanding of cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS or GCP experience is a plus).
  • Familiarity with basic networking concepts, security principles, and incident response processes.
  • Basic scripting or programming experience (PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar) is a plus.
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts, verbally and in writing.
  • Problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn.
  • Must reside in the Virginia area; relocation not provided.
  • U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance.
