About The Position

The Senior Cybersecurity Network Engineer is an independent contributing IT professional within the Network Engineering family developing and applying technical expertise in two or more IT disciplines that support the Cook Children’s Health Care System (CCHCS) technical infrastructure. This includes technologies, systems, networks, data architectures, capacity planning, performance management, security and configuration management. Requirements

  • Position requires at least 5 years of direct experience
  • Bachelor’s degree

Responsibilities

  • Configures, tests, and maintains LAN/WAN equipment and related services.
  • Identifies, diagnoses, and resolves network problems.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks.
  • Assist in preparation of budgetary proposals and technical solutions.
  • Analyze and rectify complex faults on the network to meet defined service levels.
  • Support network investigation/performance routines to ensure network availability.
  • Perform complex configuration changes.
  • Maintain and support the CCHCS LAN/WAN environment.
  • Daily maintenance and problem resolution, operating system patches and software.
  • Upgrades, and routine hardware configuration.
  • Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation.
  • Obtain and maintain required certifications.
