About The Position

Cybersecurity Intern- Summer 2026 Responsible for assisting with the organization, development, and administration of cybersecurity infrastructure, documentation and governance systems. Communicates and works across multiple functional departments towards continuous improvement . Requirements

  • Sixteen (16) semester credits in cyber security, network security, computer science, computer programming, computer engineering, information technology, information science, information systems management, network administration, or a pertinent scientific, technical or related area. Degree candidate preferred
  • Familiarity with the various Cybersecurity Frameworks
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficiency and interest in technical writing
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office solutions (particularly Excel)
  • Strong organizational and/or project management skills
  • Knowledge of cyber threat, vulnerability and risk management
  • Skills in problem solving
  • Willingness to learn and a proactive work ethic
  • Ability to work approximately 15- 29 hours/week
  • MUST be available to work onsite at our Minitab Corporate Headquarters in State College, PA.
  • Remote work is not an option for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Provide organizational support of the company’s ISO 27001 cybersecurity program and processes
  • Conduct vendor cybersecurity assessments and risk analyses to identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential threats
  • Support the management of the system inventory and system access reviews
  • Edit, analyze and draft cybersecurity policies and procedures in compliance with NIST and ISO standards
  • Assist with the development and administration of training infrastructure and processes
  • Provide ongoing optimization and problem-solving support
  • Review service performance reports identifying any significant issues and variances, initiating, where necessary, corrective actions and ensuring that all outstanding issues are followed-up
  • Identify gaps or potential enhancements in existing security practices
  • Take ownership and deliver, from end to end, work packages and project allocated to you
  • Keep your Line Manager and peers well informed of your activities, workload and availability
