The Leidos Digital Modernization Sector is seeking a highly qualified and trained Cybersecurity Engineering Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide expert guidance and direction underpinning Leidos on-site support to research and development activities on Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland. The Cybersecurity Engineer SME will provide technical leadership to multiple project teams of cybersecurity professionals on the Leidos on-site support team. This role involves providing expert cybersecurity, risk assessment, and information assurance support to a variety of engineering projects, including research & development, prototyping, integration, test and evaluation, cross domain solutions, networking, and software development.

  • Oversee teams of other cybersecurity professionals
  • Provide expert technical assistance to Army Cross Domain Solution (CDS) government customers/stakeholders
  • Review and approve all cybersecurity program deliverables
  • Communicate program cybersecurity matters to program leadership
  • Interact with other engineering and program leads to deliver cross functional projects
  • Must have a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 12 relevant years of work experience
  • Must have Top Secret clearance eligible for access to SCI
  • Professionally recognized cybersecurity certification in a DoD Directive 8140
  • Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience that demonstrates a detailed understanding of multiple security assessment applications and the ability to create applications when those tools will not suffice for an assessment
  • Must have 5 years of experience in information assurance, information security, or cybersecurity
  • Must have experience supporting NSA approved cross domain solutions Lab Based Assessment Security Assessment (LBSA) team
  • Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in cross domain solutions (CDS), conducting hands-on security assessments, networking, Linux, virtual machines and appliances, and software/scripting development
  • Completed training compliant with CDS Raise the Bar (RTB) and documented experience supporting RTB projects
  • Documented experience supporting CDS R&D projects that were RTB compliant
  • Master's degree with 10+ years of work experience
  • Experience supporting Army and NSA customers
  • Experience developing policies and procedures for new program startup
