About The Position

Michael Baker International is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineering Intern for Summer 2025. This internship will provide hands-on experience in applying cybersecurity protections to designs and preparing preliminary designs for senior designer approval. The intern will assist in designing security measures for facility-related control systems, monitor these systems for vulnerabilities, and help enforce security protocols during the design process. This role is ideal for students pursuing a degree in engineering with an interest in cybersecurity.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering at an accredited university or college.
• Interest in Cybersecurity engineering systems.
• Experience with Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, AGi32, Visual, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) is highly preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal English language skills.

Responsibilities

• Apply cybersecurity protection to designs and prepare preliminary designs for senior designer approval.
• Assist in the design of protecting facility-related control systems from cyber threats.
• Monitor facility-related control systems to enforce security protocols and best practices during design.
• Create solutions to prevent unauthorized access and data breaches with architecture topology diagrams and specifications.
• Provide scopes of work, budgetary estimates, and design coordination with multiple engineering disciplines and project architectural teams.
• Analyze the potential impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability of facility-related control systems in case of incidents.
• Develop construction specifications and drawings, conduct field inspections, and witness field acceptance testing.

Benefits

• Hourly compensation range of $18.00-24.00 per hour, depending on experience and academic level.
